Osita Alaribe is beginning his second year on the Tiger coaching staff working with the outside linebackers.
Alaribe, whose family is originally from Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, grew up in Raleigh, N.C. He attended Millbrook High School, playing football, basketball and track & field. Along the defensive line Alaribe earned all-conference and all-area honors.
After high school, Alaribe graduated from North Carolina A&T State University, where he won two conference championships, an HBCU national championship and was the team captain during the 2003 season.
Alaribe previously coached the defensive line at North Carolina powerhouse Dudley High School in Greensboro, where he coached several players that are now in college football. While at Dudley they made two deep playoff runs with an appearance in the state finals.
