Tim Baker is beginning his third year on the Tiger coaching staff working with the defensive line.
Baker grew up in Natchez, Miss., where he attended Adams County Christian School. At ACCS, Baker played football, baseball and track & field. Baker earned several academic and athletic awards, including all-conference and all-metro as a senior. After graduation Baker played at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where he lettered for two years, earning all-conference and all-state honors as a sophomore.
From there, Baker transferred to Nicholls State University in Louisiana, where he lettered two years at center and was part of the 2002 Nicholls State team that finished the year ranked in the top 25. Baker graduated from Nicholls with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2004.
After graduation, Baker served as offensive coordinator for Huntington High School in Ferriday, La., for the 2004-05 school year.
Baker's recruiting area includes East Texas and West Akansas.
