Brandon Jones, an alumnus of OBU, is entering his second year on staff as an athletic trainer at Ouachita Baptist University, his first as Head Athletic Trainer.

Before returning to Ouachita, Jones spent three years on staff with NCAA Division II San Francisco State University.  During his time there he worked with a variety of teams, including men’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s basketball, softball, and baseball. 

Jones received his bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University’s athletic training education program majoring in athletic training and biology in 2003.  While in California he received his master’s degree in athletic training from San Jose State University in 2005. 

He is a nationally Certified Athletic Trainer by the NATABOC and state licensed in Arkansas.  He also holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Jones and his staff are dedicated to offering quality care to the student athlete’s under their supervision and can be found daily helping them to perform at their full potential. 

When given the opportunity Jones will spend time with his parents in Granbury, Texas or backpacking through the wilderness.
