Ouachita Swimming & Diving Coaches
 Coach Jim Dann graduated from the University of Florida in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science.
While at Florida, Coach Dann was a four-year letterman in swimming. He then went on to OBU where he received a Masters of Science in Education. His coaching experience started in 1973 as assistant coach at the University of Florida. He then became interim head coach at the University of Florida in 1976.
From 1976-1981 he was the head coach at Leesburg High School in Florida. Then in 1981 he came to OBU as head coach. Dann is entering his 24th season at OBU, where he has amassed a very impressive dual meet record of 261-64-1. He was the national coach of the year for Diving in 1995, 1996 and 1997. He was national coach of the year for Swimming in 1997 and was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1998.
He has helped college swimmers to compete at the national level for the past 25 years. Dann has served as a president of the NAIA Swim Coaches and was National Meet Director for the NAIA Championships in 1983 and 1984. Dann has also served on the NCAA Rules Committee.

 Assistant coach Ryan Killackey is
in his 2nd year as assistant Men’s and Women’s swimming and diving coach at Ouachita. He is a 1998 graduate of OBU with a BA in Communication Disorders. While living in Hawaii, he earned a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University in Honolulu (2005).
In addition to regular college coaching duties, Killackey also is the head USAS Club swim coach and head Arkadelphia High School swimming & Diving coach. The Edmond, Oklahoma native was a four-year All-American and conference record holder for the Tiger Sharks while a student at Ouachita.
Coach Killackey and his wife (Jennifer- PE/Health Teacher) have two boys, Taylor (4) and Aiden (1).
