Swimmers and divers can qualify individually for the NCAA Division II National championships at any time during the season.  The NCAA sets "A" and "B" qualifying times for all of the events, and any day a swimmer makes the qualifying time they have potentially qualified for nationals.

An "A" qualifying time automatically qualifies a swimmer for that event and any event that he has a "B" qualifying time in.  If a swimmer has a "B" qualifying time in an event, he must have at least one "A" qualifying time to be able to enter the national championship meet.  A swimmer swimming the first leg in a relay event can post a qualifying time.

The 2007 NCAA Division II National Championships will take place March 14-17 in Buffalo, N.Y.
